A MODERN CHRONOGRAPH INSPIRED
BY THE PAST
Cimier Sport
The Cimier 711 Heritage Chronograph is inspired by one of the brand’s most iconic watches, known as the “Cimier Sport”. This simplified take on the chronograph only allowed users to measure short time intervals by starting and stopping the independent central second hand. This modern interpretation includes all the functions of a modern chronograph while using design elements of the past.
A UNIQUE 711 DIAL LAYOUT
The Cimier 711 Heritage Chronograph dial stands out with the unusual positioning of the 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters at 11 and 7 o’clock. Typical of a 1960s “Cimier Sport”, a telemetric scale is placed on the outer edge of the dial and a tachymetric scale is coiled at the center to bring an additional vintage touch. The sunray brushed dial is rendered in dark green and features voluminous C1 X1 Super-LumiNova® markers that is meticulously hand-applied.
A BESPOKE MOVEMENT
The Cimier 711 Heritage Chronograph is powered by the automatic caliber CIM 100. Based on the tried and tested Valjoux 7750, it incorporates a bespoke module to allow for this unique "7-11" chronograph counter positioning. Visible via the exhibition case back, the winding rotor is engraved with a vintage version of the Cimier logo. Running at 4 HZ, it offers a power reserve of 48 hours.
BARREL-SHAPED CASE
The watch features an ergonomic 39.5mm barrel-shaped case with a flat brushed surface and polished bevels framing a round dial opening. The large crown operates easily and is flanked by a pair of pump-style pushers delivering plenty of personality. With usability in mind, the watch offers a water resistance rating of 10 ATM / 100 meters, providing owners with peace of mind.
BOX SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL
The so-called “box” shaped sapphire crystal slightly protrudes from the case. Perfectly matching the style of the watch, it brings an additional retro feel. This three-dimensional shape was common among past watches that used acrylic crystal. Modern technology now allows watchmakers to craft such box-shaped crystal in sapphire. Sapphire being one of the hardest materials, these are scratchproof yet delicate to craft.
QUICK RELEASE MESH BRACELET AND LEATHER STRAP
The Cimier 711 Heritage Chronograph anniversary edition is presented on a stainless steel mesh bracelet that provides an elegant pairing and adds a dash of vintage charm. The watch also comes with a spare black calf leather strap with black stitching and a steel Cimier pin buckle. Fitted with a quick release mechanism, both straps are comfortable as well as practical.
100 PIECES FOR 100 YEARS
OF HISTORY
This jubilee dark green dial version of the watch is released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the creation of the first watchmaking atelier of Joseph Lapanouse, Cimier's founder. Each piece is numbered and engraved on the exhibition caseback.
